It's been a while, and I've found that some of the mods I had stored on my portable hard drive no longer had valid links to them online. Thankfully I had copied my stranded II modding resource files from the family PC to my T7 PSSD before my clueless sister-in-law disposed of the family PC's hard drive while cleaning, which, notably, had been removed specifically for safekeeping (it was years ago, and it still annoys me to this day. How do you mistake a hard drive as trash to begin with? Idk common sense says if you have no idea what it is or what it's for, and it's someone else's house, don't touch it. At the very least don't dispose of it.). Because of this, although we lost a lot of our past family photos and videos as well as some of my other unrelated projects, like some funky pivot stickfigure animations I spent countless hours on and still occasionally get nostalgic about, we still have my modding resources, which includes all of the mods I was able to get my hands on while creating Stranded II Enhanced and its various flavors.

Without further defenestration, let's see some links here:

Bae Mod
Beyond The Polar Circle
Extension Mod
Kidnap Mod
Lost In Space
Massive Mod
Mod Gradira
My Stranded
Northern Legion
RealTex Mod
S2Ext 0.3.2 Beta2
Seasons
Stranded II - Titanium v1.0.1.3
Stranded II Multiplayer English

S2V666
Stranded 2.5
Stranded 2.5 Desert Island

Thankfully these have been saved from the trashbin. Some of them still have links up elsewhere, but certainly not all. I originally planned to upload these months ago, but since an idea of mine from years back has been coming into full focus (see thread offtopic New Economic System, especially the most recent edits), and due to ongoing and causatively linked but separate technical difficulties (my Win10 system corrupted, I added a new partition to the drive and attempted to start over with a fresh Win10 image on that after weeks of failed efforts to fix it, and then some time later, upon attempting to resize my partition, IM-Magic shat the bed and butchered the partition table) with my (now old) PC which took weeks to resolve and was only achieved by ordering a better computer, and using that to restore as much corrupted data as I was able to.

I will post this for now, but I think I forgot to upload some, specifically a few of the various S2.5 variations/snapshots that I have gotten ahold of. I will try to get around to doing those as well soon.

Edit: S2.5 variations now uploaded.

Thanks for saving these mods. I'll consider to upload them here manually to ensure that they don't get lost again in future.

Would be nice to have a small preview image and info text for each of these. Then I could make a little mod page or even put them on https://www.unrealsoftware.de/game_stranded2.php directly
So if anyone feels like providing something like that for one or multiple of these mods it would be highly appreciated.

I still have a few mods on my cloud drive.

Cast Away mod
City Mod MP
CStrike Mod
Phyire mod
Pupp3t Mod
V666 - ¬«»Ę´
and my different broken version of Extension mod, which I made for myself years ago.

I could share them too.
In general, it would be cool if there were separate modifications for SII along with the original game, because there aren't many of them and most are not very accessible.

Thanks a lot for sharing those!

I remember playing ext mod more than a decade ago and it was a blast. I'm not sure if it was the latest version though.
I'd love to jump back into this game again, but I'm not sure which mod to choose. Could you recommend one that adds the most survival-oriented content?

All right. I got around to uploading a few others:

S2V666
Stranded 2.5
Stranded 2.5 Desert Island

I will add these to the top post as well.

@user Kamillo1345: Absolutely. Also, the ones that might be duplicates there would still be useful to upload, btw. A lot of times you get different versions, either newer or older.

Both are useful, because sometimes the newer ones have issues that themselves indicate why the creator gave up the project to begin with, and sometimes the older ones don't have as much stuff.

Different copies proliferate and oftentimes aren't differentiated distinctly. This was the case for me with Stranded 2.5 and, if I recall correctly, Stranded II Extension mod also. Plus more links = less dead ends as time passes.

user SlyCooperReloadCoded yes. Trust me, I tried my best to get my hands on it early on. Just now tried another search, and didn't find it but came across something else that I find very interesting: https://strandedmods.ucoz.ru/load/
Some of those mods are ones I've never come across before. Wish I would have known back when I was still actively developing s2 enhanced.

Also since this post was partly inspired by thread stranded2 New Collection of Stranded Mods (and also because that's where I managed to get that site link, by trimming a dead link of extra paths) I figure credit is due.

@user Zeruch: That would be the survivalist mod 100%. Probably the most actively developed mod in the time I've spent here, so no worries about dead links.

@user DC: Hmmm... All right. As long as I don't have to procure all the thumbnails myself. Then again - I don't really have to. A lot of these mods already have screenshots online.

If there was some way for me to insert images directly [Win-Shift-S] and then Paste, without having to save the file, open 3 tabs and upload, copy link, click add image url, add link, and repeat for 20+ screenshots before then deleting the files from my pc, I would change my mind about this.

I think I've suggested something like limited-size image hosting for this site before, for this specific reason.

Anyway...
I think putting the mods where they're visible in the main page would be quite helpful as a whole. What better way to gain interest, encourage further modding, and improve the overall experience, but to demonstrate what has been, and by association what could be, accomplished? To display the full legacy that Stranded II has formed?

I've come across my fair share of software that was built for extensibility and contribution which never materialized outside of the creator's own efforts. That Stranded II has such a rich modding ecosystem is no small side-note. It's not something you would just pin at the end of the credits roll. I know it's easy to take for granted, given the way it simply showed up in the background, and especially so given that one's own efforts, through lived experience, carry far greater emotional investment than the efforts of others.

That it inspired others to build further upon it, though, is one of the strongest universal indicators of its value.

@user Assassin moder: Yeah. Even just having a higher cap, like 50-150mb, would have resolved most of the issues with file size

@user alex0111: Delivered as destined. Enjoy!
